Use of Land or Property for Business
Are you experiencing a dispute where your neighbour has:
-
Unlawfully used land adjacent to your home to run a business?
Examples of cases we have resolved:
Case 1. Our clients' are a farming partnership that rented some outbuildings on their land, and next to their farm to a local landscape gardener. The landscape gardener subsequently dumped a substantial amount of waste onto our clients' land, rather than safely disposing of it in a legal manner, stored disused equipment in our clients' outbuildings, failed to pay rent, and avoided our clients. We ensured that the land was cleaned up at the landscape gardener's expense and that he vacated our clients' land.
Case 2. Our clients' purchased a home next door to a field. Some years later their neighbour built a warehouse on the field and ran a trucking company from it. This disturbed our clients' quiet enjoyment of their home and reduced its resale value. Our clients' complaints to the local authority were ignored. After we were instructed we used the law to legally curtail the use of the land for the neighbour's trucking business.
Case 3. Our clients' neighbours started to run a business from their home. The neighbours' clients' turned their vehicles around in our clients' driveway, knocked over our clients' rubbish bins, parked across our clients' driveway blocking our clients' access to their home, and were generally rude and aggressive. We resolved this stressful and unpleasant situation to our clients' satisfaction and restored peace to the neighbourhood.
